Joey Madia is now in his fifteenth year working as an investigator, researcher, and experiencer of the paranormal. He was mentored by world-renowned author and TV personality Rosemary Ellen Guiley for nearly a decade. 

He is the coauthor with his wife Tonya (a psychic medium) of Watch Out for the Hallway: Our Two Year Investigation of the Most Haunted Library in North Carolina, the culmination of 75 investigations lasting 150 hours over a period of two years, with 425 guest investigators and observers at the Webb Memorial Library in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Joey is the host of the weekly livestream Into the Outer Realms (238 episodes). He interviews a wide range of guests about paranormal, spiritual, and other topics. He also does a series called Parallels, Patterns, and Pathways about UFOlogy and Disclosure.

Joey also co-hosts Sinister Mysteries with investigator Craig Ansell, an investigative podcast exposing the power structures and dark secrets of the Global Elite and other mysteries (56 episodes).

When he is not investigating or writing about high strangeness, UFOlogy/Disclosure, or the Global Elite, Joey is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright, novelist, actor, director, and Escape Room and immersive experience designer. He is the writer and puzzle designer of the Mothman Museum Escape Room in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and three other Escape Rooms with paranormal themes in Scotland and North Carolina. 

Joey applies the skills of a story analyst and training in a variety of spiritual systems to his paranormal investigations.

"Daddy, Grass, and the Afterlife" : An Award-Winning Essay

  ( NOTE: this essay won the Very Special Arts New Jersey Wordsmith Contest in 2003, and was read by members of the Unlimited Potential Theatre Company at the Stephen J. Capestro Theater in Edison, NJ, January 18, 2003.) My office is a monument to Effort. Crammed and sagging shelves full of well-organized projects, books, research materials, and neatly labeled folders stand as sentinels in a Dilapidated House of Hope, where miniature statues of deities and mythic figures guard the wise words of Motivators, Philosophers, and Poets tacked to the walls, while working their mojo on the cackling hills of sterile rejection covering the carpet.  As I type, trying to "make things happen" in the 20 minutes I have before the next scheduled endeavor, I see a knobby purple ball coming toward me.
